I need Art like I need Life
Julien JACA, born in Toulouse on March 24, 1985, now finds home and inspiration in Hossegor, along France's scenic southern Atlantic coast.
In 2012, after four years at the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, he left the school to devote himself entirely to his young career as an international tattoo artist.
Through his travels, he encountered traditional artworks and folk objects for the first time - from which, he says, emanates a rare sincerity, a purely spiritual and visual force.
In 2018, an event permanently marked his life as a man and an artist, the impact of which still resonates in one of his first canvases entitled THE ONLY PICTURE I WILL EVER HAVE OF YOU. Since then, JACA has devoted himself entirely to art and pictorial experimentation, initiating the uninterrupted creation of works and series that continue to evolve.
In 2022, weary from the monotony of repeated movements and finding no value in perpetuating the work that had garnered him multiple solo and group exhibitions around the world, JACA cleared his canvas of all certainties and sparked a significant pivot in his artistic approach. Henceforth, he continually infused novel techniques into his creations, boldly defying his collectors' expectations.
